Safer water masterclass for healthcare professionals

The supply of safe water for hospital patients is a top priority for health trusts. But for high-risk patients, it is an even more important concern.

In an attempt to officials and estates managers on the issue, Pall Medical experts will be holding an educational workshop and masterclass on water infection at Hampden Park in Glasgow next month.



The focus of the event, which takes place on November 13, the approach of the shipping bugs, especially on Legionella and Pseudomonas clinical epidemiology and general practices in healthcare premises.

There will also be given to the provision of safe water for high-risk patients who are immune or immunosupressed, including those organ or bone marrow transplant, chemotherapy or people with HIV.

Topics include current guidelines for safer drinking water, clinical examples and case histories and different methods of control and its effectiveness.

The event is free and is supported by an educational grant from Pall Medical.
